Why Founders Grove Classical Academy?
At Founders Grove Classical Academy, there will be a focus on principles of a moral education in addition to high academic standards. Universal truths, objectively good standards and virtuous ideals are valued by many parents in our community. Increases in enrollment at local private schools, and a rising number of homeschooling families shows evidence that parents are seeking alternatives to traditional public schools. Private school tuition, however, remains out of reach for many families, and homeschooling may not be an option for others. A classical charter school located in mid-Michigan would expand the educational choices for families in an area where many children are not at grade proficiency. This opportunity would pave a path of student success for our region’s youth.
Currently there are no other public, tuition free options to families in Midland. In the tri-cities, we will be the only public tuition free school offering a classical curriculum. We believe that it is our civic duty to provide this alternative to traditional public school for the next generation. At Founders Grove Classical Academy we are committed to doing everything we can to support future generations of free-thinking, moral Americans. Furthermore, we strongly believe that an excellent education should be available to all families, not simply those who have the ability to homeschool or the means to afford a private school tuition.
